January 12, 2022 - 2 Corinthians 1:3-11 (AMP) - Part 2

Yesterday, we mentioned that even as followers of Christ, we are not exempt from suffering or pain. Again, even Jesus promised his disciples they would have pain. But God wants to birth out of you the manifestation of Christ.

There is a purpose to your pain. It’s important to know that pain equips us to comfort others who are in any kind of affliction, through the comfort we ourselves receive from God. Translation - God wants to use your circumstance, bring you out of it, so that you can minister to others. God want’s to work in you so that what He is doing in you can show up out of you!

Without focusing on Jesus during your circumstance, the pain is only painful and it’s not purposeful. Let God be free to work in you as you go through the afflictions of life. Even when you are completely overwhelmed and enduring circumstances that seem beyond your capacity to withstand, remember to trust God. He is preparing you for a special ministry to others and wants to give you a deeper manifestation of His presence and power in your life.

Father, I pray that You reveal the purpose of the various challenges I face and use me as a conduit for the comfort of God, helping others that I encounter who may be dealing with their own difficulties. I pray You allow me to be a beacon of light to the next person who may be suffering and to ultimately bring them closer to You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
